not surprisingly, i've never heard about them, so i goggled, and this is what i got:

then i found some focus apps in the apple store, and the most popular one is forest, which has 38k downloads and costs $3.99, compared to tik tok billions of downloads (3 billions in 2021 based on statista) and costs $0.
old masterpiece movies are usually over two hours long, and now most of us have less than a minute to watch short videos. how many of us watch those less than ten minutes movie clips and narratives on youtube, and pretend we watch the whole movie?

i'm very lucky and grateful i had a slow childhood. i spent hours digging in the dirt and watching ants moving before the rain. i picked up fallen leaves and flowers and made my craft book. i had so much fun walking back and forth on the curb of the road and bridge down the street with my grandpa and sister. i felt so proud i could keep my balance and rarely fell.
